Editorial policy
NSW Dentist Directory presents facts about dental practices. It follows the advertising rules that apply to the dental profession in Australia, set by the Dental Board of Australia and AHPRA.
- Where a list is labelled top rated on Google, it is a data threshold computed from Google ratings and review counts, shown with its date. It is not an editorial ranking or a recommendation.
- No offers and no outcome promises. The directory sets no prices. Fee summaries are computed from fee lists that practices published on their own websites, each practice counted once per item, and are marked as not verified.
- Fee lists appear only when the practice published them on its own website. They are quoted with a link to the source page, marked as not verified, and may be out of date.
- Patient comments appear only when the practice published them on its own website. They are quoted with a link to the source page, are not Google reviews, and are not verified or endorsed here.
- Ratings appear only as Google data, attributed to Google, with the date checked. Google review text is not shown.
- The directory does not itself state what a practice accepts. Where a practice website writes about Medicare or a health fund, its own sentences are quoted as written, with a link to the source page and a note that they are not verified here.
- A field with no source is left out. Nothing is estimated.
- Text from a practice's own website appears only as sentences that state a checkable fact, with a link to the page it came from, and only when it passes these rules.
Every page is generated from the same dataset, and the figures on each page are computed from it. Corrections are welcome through report an error.
